Manchester's Busy Beekeepers
There will be a practical course on beekeeping held at Heaton Park in March over 2 days. On the course people learn how to keep, and look after bees. The 'hands on' practical course is a two day event. Bee suits and gloves can be provided, but you must supply your own wellington boots. The course tutor is the Regional Bee Inspector Ian Molyneux, assisted by highly qualified beekeepers, all members of Manchester & District Beekeepers' Association.
It is recommended that anybody interested in attending a practical course firstly complete a beginners theory course on beekeeping, which again is over two days and held at Heaton Park. This year the course that is taking place in February is already fully booked.
If you would like to register an interest for courses in 2009, please call Mrs M Böhme on 0161 747 7292.
