Heaton Park is a rich resource for learning activity of all types. The knowledgeable team of staff at Heaton Park are committed to developing a life long learning journey. Our education programmes cater for all ages and abilitys. Our programmes feature national curriculum linked activities for primary KS1 and 2. Where possible our activities are a hands on experiance, following the principle that people learn much more by participation.
The Friends of the Park arrange talks in the winter.Breakout sessions in school holidays give children age 8 – 14 the chance to learn new skills while having fun, during the winter months there are astronomy sessions and if you want to learn about Beekeeping Manchester Beekeepers run practical courses.
Our vision is to provide a unique and creative experiance to engage with the public to enhance their enjoyment of Heaton Park whilst teaching people to love and protect the park for future generations.
