Experience travelling on a traditional horse tram
Saturday, 19th July 2008. From 12.30 to 7pm, outside the Heaton Park Tram Museum.
A traditional horse tram will be in operation on this day, following painstaking restorations carried out by The Manchester Transport Museum Society (MTMS).
The vehicle (no. L53) is the only surviving complete reversible horse tram from over 500 designed by coachbuilder John Eades in 1887 and used in and around Manchester until 1903.
There will be a small charge to ride on the tram, which will be collected on the day.
