Happy New Feelgood Year!

2006 was one of our most exciting years to date and we would like to thank you for helping to make it so.  2007 is shaping up to be real block buster so be warned, tickets are limited so to avoid queuing for returns book early.  Last year our hugely successful summer show

‘Arthur - King of the Britons'  in Heaton Park sold out within two days of opening.

"...an epic tale of high drama, chivalry and death defying sword fights, with actors riding and romping around Heaton Park, brilliant!"
BBC on line.

"The a cappella harmonies are exquisite"
The Guardian 4 star review.

"The only disappointing thing about a Feelgood show is if you can't get a ticket"
The Metro

In November we made our West End debut with our critically acclaimed production of
‘Not About Heroes' by Stephen MacDonald and our sold out special event on Remembrance Sunday - Eloquent Protest  - with Tony Benn.

‘This is certainly a stirring piece of drama and a very British love story'.  Daily Mail

‘See this for poetry in action and you will not be disappointed' This is London.

Your last chance to see Not About Heroes at venues across the country incl The Lowry (see flyer)

Stephen MacDonald's acclaimed play is a moving celebration of the friendship between the first world war poets Wilfred Owen and Siegfried Sassoon using their poetry, the power of words and revealing the futility of war.  This production is a remarkable study for AS and A level students of History, Drama, English Literature.

Jan 29th - 10th March 2007

Feelgood in the Park

19th July - 18th August

In 1907 in Manchester Miss Annie Horniman began Repertory Theatre as we know and in 2007 when many theatres are closing Feelgood is forging ahead in their inimitable style and launching Manchester's first summer outdoor Rep season in Heaton Park, led by Artistic Director Caroline Clegg.

"Even theatre critics are allowed an occasional glimpse of magic, everything is just perfect, Feelgood deserves awards heaped upon them".  Manchester Eve News.

"...looking forward to a Feelgood production for me is like looking forward to Christmas for children."  The Messenger

The 2007 Season

'Blue Remembered Hills'
by Dennis Potter
19th - 28th July

and
'A Midsummer Night's Dream'
by William Shakespeare.
2nd - 18th August

Blue Remembered Hills is back by popular demand after Feelgood's critically acclaimed production was nominated for a Manchester Evening News Award in 2001.

Set in the countryside during the Second World War this deceptively simple tale combines comedy and tragedy in a gripping tale of seven youngsters as they play, tease, argue and chase a squirrel.  Be there, in the middle of the action, as the ‘kids' roam through the park exploring their friendships and loyalties.

It's a world of considerable innocence, but be warned, Potter packs a powerful punch! That sunny summer day of years gone by reaches a tragic and spectacular climax as innocence comes tumbling down amid the flames of a burning shed!
"Potter's Feelgood Factor...is brought vividly to life by seven fine actors in a memorable production"  Manchester Evening News, 2000

Feelgood's Midsummer Night's Dream set in the 1950's will take you on a magical journey into the dells of the park to discover the rich comedy and magical enchantment of Shakespeare's best loved play.

This famous story of spirits and spells, tricks and potions, lovers lost and found and a perfectly happy ending will delight the whole family.

Discover the revels of a rock and roll band of mechanicals who will dazzle you with their singing in Feelgood's celebrated a capella style and witness lovers wooing game as they zoom around on bicycles avoiding of course the donkey!
