Flyball - Dog relay race
Most Sundays during winter start 11am to 1pm and Tuesday evening in the summer from 7pm to 9pm. Training area located infront of the Dower House.
The Northern Bytes Flyball Team is delighted to have been invited to train in Heaton Park. Spectators are welcome as this helps our dogs get used to having other people around - and besides the dogs like to show off!
Flyball is the fastest growing dog sport in the country and provides a fantastic opportunity for dogs and owners to interact together and have fun.
Any dog that can fetch a tennis ball and will come back to its handler when called can enjoy the fast and exciting game of Flyball. From a Yorkie to a Rottie - the list is endless! Please note trainee dogs must be at least12 months old.
Our Team is happy to help newcomers to the sport learn the ropes and we intend holding a series of courses for beginners. These courses are designed to ensure that anyone who wants to join in will have the best possible start in what we hope will be a long and enjoyable flyball career.
The cost is £35 per dog/handler for a 7 week training course. Pre-booking is essential. Contact Doreen Smith, 07733 267 158 or email [email protected] . For further information please visit www.bytes.doreen-s.co.uk
The nearest car park is the Hall car park, accessed through St Margaret's entrance.
