25th Sept - 2.30pm - 6pm. Carrs Wood, Ashworth Valley, is a challenging five mile ramble through woodland and along the riverbank. The walk is so enjoyable, you won't notice the uphill and down dale bit. We end the walk at the Millcroft Tea Gardens for a welcome brew or ice-cream.

9th Oct - 1.30pm - 5pm. Tandle Hill is a beautiful walk in the Autumn time. We are fitting this walk in with the Tree Party 'Big Weekender' which is being held at the country park! The event  is a free fun filled tree and woodland festival weekend for all the family which includes tree climbing, woodland crafts, Acorn-Athlon, habitat building, falconry displays and much more. A five mile strong walk along the country lanes then uphill and down dale a bit with a panoramic view from the monument!

23rd Oct - 1.30pm - 5pm. We love this Uppermill walk as the ice-cream near the end is yum yum! On the outskirts of Uppermill we go up over the railway track and away from the village. A fabulous approximately four mile walk this one, uphill of course but the amazing views open up as we get higher and eventually we saunter back along the canal.

6th Nov - 10am - approx 5pm. Another Treat for you lovely Ramblers, a trip out to Hardcastle Crags, before weather stops play! A lovely walk along the riverbank and wooded area. Hot soup or snack at the café and back again along the riverbank. Not a long walk, about four miles in all, more of an amble as boulderish. Suitable footwear important.20th Nov

- 1.30pm - 5pm. Rivington Pike is about four miles and yes it does have a steep bit at the end when we go up the steps to the Pike. However on a clear day you can see Blackpool Tower! If we make good time there is a super cafe at the end and a nice bench to rest your weary......legs.

4th Dec - 1.30pm - 5pm. Piethorne Valley, Newhey, is a four mile walk which takes us around three of the reservoirs and through the ‘blue bell' woods. A very picturesque undulating walk with various routes according to our energy levels on the day!

18th Dec - 10am - 2.30ish. The Ramsbottom Robert Peel Christmas Walk and Meal afterward at Park Farm ----Brill! We start our ramble from the centre of Ramsbottom and go up, up, up! It is a testing walk but we have never left anybody behind yet and sometimes young children even run past us, ugh! We stop along the way to enjoy the views and rest weary legs. It is worth the uphill slog as the views are beautiful and all the better for us to enjoy our Christmas Meal when we come down. Bookings now being taken for the Christmas Meal with a non-returnable deposit of £5.
