In 2005 Heaton Park Golf Course was voted the best municipal course in England and looking at its interesting and unique layout, it is not difficult to see why. It nestles just inside the Manchester ring road amidst the beautiful rolling hills of Heaton Park is a challenging course that offers something for everyone.
Heaton Park Golf Club is one of the oldest in the area, formed in 1912. It's an active club with an increasing membership that ensures both the competitive and social aspects of the game flourish. With regular competitions organised for golfers of all abilities each weekend throughout the year, the club extends the hand of friendship to newcomers and veterans alike.
Each year players from all over the North West flock to participate in the Manchester Municipal Open - the largest open municipal event in the area.
