Each year there is a busy events programme including theatre and drama productions, concerts, funfairs, and environmental based activities to name but a few. Upcoming events can be seen on our What’s On Page.
Heaton Park is a place for all and there is a lot to do. You’ve probably heard about Heather the cow or Ice Man the alpaca, and all the other animals that live here, if you haven’t why not read a little more about our Animal Centre.
Heaton Park is used by many organisations as a venue for hosting large events. Hospitality at Heaton is wide ranging. We can offer you a cup of tea and a slice of cake and hot meals in our cafes, meeting/conference facilities, civil partnership/wedding ceremonies, or accommodation for the weekend; we can cater for all your needs. The park is not only a beautiful and vast space to stroll or run in, you can also stretch yourself by using our orienteering course, and on a sunny day why not take a leisurely row on our boating lake, or hire a bike. Heaton has two excellent play areas that are very popular with families who have children. For a list of more activities at Heaton look at our Activities Page.
