Heaton Park is a rich resource for learning activity of all
types. The knowledgeable team of Wardens offers a range of walks
and tours for KS1 children, and you can chat to them every Saturday and
Sunday on a Health Walk. The Friends of the Park arrange talks in the winter and the Friends of the Hall
give guided tours of Heaton Hall. Free Breakout sessions in
school holidays give children age 7 – 14 the chance to learn new skills
while having fun, and you can learn to paint in the park’s stunning
landscape with a local artist, and if you want to learn about Beekeeping Manchester Beekeepers run practical courses from time to time.
